M.A.P. Testing (Dec 14, 15, 16)

Students will be taking their Winter M.A.P. assessments on December 14th, 15th, and 16th during AMA (8:30 AM - 10:30 AM) and PMA Pride classes (2:30 PM - 4:30 PM).

It is very important for your student to attend their AMA or PMA every day this week (including on Wednesday, December 16th). AMA and PMA times will be extended to 2 hours to allow students to have enough time to complete their M.A.P. tests.

AMA will take place from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM PMA will be from 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM

Other than M.A.P. testing, what should students be doing?

There are NO office hours or lessons this week in order to accommodate for M.A.P testing. Students should plan out their week around attending AMA or PMA every day (including Wednesday). In between their Pride Class, students may log on to Exact Path and complete math and reading work.

On Thursday, December 17th, any student who did not finish a M.A.P. assessment will complete them during their AMA/PMA Pride. Friday, December 18th is student's final day before Winter Break, and will be an end of semester celebration activity in each Pride Class. For more information about the celebration, please contact your student's advisor.

What is M.A.P. and what does it measure?

M.A.P., or the Measure of Academic Progress, is a computerized adaptive test which helps teachers, parents, and administrators improve learning for all students and make informed decisions to promote a child's academic growth.

At Collegiate Hall, all students take M.A.P. tests in Science, Math and Reading three times a year (fall, winter and spring). MAP Growth uses a RIT scale to accurately measure what students know, regardless of their grade level. It also measures growth over time, allowing you to track your child’s progress throughout the school year and across multiple years. Once your child completes a MAP Growth test, they receive a RIT score.
