Collegiate Hall Public Charter Schools is an independently operated public school contracted through Tulsa Public Schools. A charter school is a publicly funded school created through a contract or 'charter' and must show greater accountability for results.
Charter schools differ from traditional public schools in that they receive some regulatory freedom and autonomy in exchange for having their charters reviewed by an authorizer, in this case Tulsa Public Schools. Charter schools still participate in state testing and federal accountability programs. Collegiate Hall's operation, organization, management and curriculum are unique and different from those of Tulsa Public Schools.
Collegiate Hall has its own Board of Education separate from TPS. Our Board sets district policies upon recommendation from our superintendent and school directors. Many policies have a set of procedures, which are approved by the superintendent. Each policy and procedure is thoroughly reviewed by the appropriate staff before making any recommendations to the superintendent or board.
