Executive Director, Reading Partners
Justin has dedicated his career to educational equity and entrepreneurship. He started his journey with Teach For America-Oklahoma when it opened in Tulsa in 2009, and quickly rose through the organization as it expanded across the state. In his various roles, Justin raised more than $7.5 million for Teach For America and managed a regional annual budget of over $5 million. Justin also managed the operations for the Teach For America Oklahoma City Institute, which trained more than 260 teachers, staffed over 100 people, and provided free summer school to more than 2,000 students. He was a member of the founding board for Collegiate Hall College Prep Charter School in Tulsa and currently serves as the board chair.
In his most recent position with the Character Formation Project, Justin ensured smooth implementation and managed digital content for over 40 partner schools and organizations across the country. Justin now serves as the Executive Director for Reading Partners, which operates 24 reading centers across Tulsa; together, Reading Partner’s forty staff members and 1,400 volunteers serve more than 1,300 students, 89% of whom mastered key foundational skills needed to read at grade level.
Justin earned his Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Tulsa. He and his wife Megan have two young children, Landon and Payton, and own two Pure Barre fitness studios in Tulsa.
