COLLEGIATE HALL COVID-19 SPECIAL UPDATE: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25
This morning, the Oklahoma State Board of Education voted to approve State Superintendent, Joy Hofmeister’s recommendation to implement a continuous learning plan without reopening school buildings. This means that while instruction of students will resume remotely, our school building will NOT reopen this school year.
Even as we face this unprecedented challenge, know that your child’s learning WILL continue this school year. Teaching and learning will look different over the next six weeks, but our teachers and leaders will do all that they can to help students stay on track academically.
We are working urgently with our team to understand what support and tools our families and teachers need in order to engage in remote learning. It is important to know that remote learning does not require that families have devices at home. While technology is an incredibly helpful tool, we are also making plans to accommodate the varied needs of the learners we serve.
You should be receiving packets and resources in the mail within the next week so all students have access to learning. Please be on the lookout for these materials. You can also find them here: Resources and Packets
We are also working on a long-term solution for the rest of the year to ensure students are still learning and getting access to content. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Mr. K or your child's advisor.
Our 8th grade graduation will likely not be occurring this year. However, our team is committed to making sure that each 8th grader is able to celebrate that accomplishment when we are able to gather together again.
In the interim, know that:
- TPS will continue to provide breakfast and lunch meals to our students free of charge - you can find locations and times at www.tulsaschools.org/mealsites; and
- You can find resources and Collegiate Hall Packets here: Resources and Packets
We will also continue to share information, updates, and resources on our website and our families Facebook page.
